What will your job as an Industrial Automation Engineer involve?
The Industrial Automation department provides design and consultancy services for electrical and control systems to domestic and international industrial clients. As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will work in the Industrial Automation department at our branches in Echt or Oss in the Netherlands, or in Geel in Belgium. You will work together with a team on internal projects at one of these branches, but you can also be deployed at one of our clients. Your tasks will involve programming systems, machines or parts thereof, and you will submit inspection documents with your work. You will regularly consult with the lead engineer and/or project leader regarding planning and progress, and will also be responsible for the supervision of junior software engineers.

You are a strong person with excellent communication skills, hold a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Industrial Automation, and have experience as an automation or control technology engineer. Further requirements:
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments or mechanical engineering, safety and government regulations, and permits
- Knowledge of various relevant drive engineering systems and industrial fieldbus systems is preferred
- Ability to read electrical hardware diagrams and P&IDs
- Strong command of software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and planning
- Knowledge of PLC control systems and SCADA systems (e.g. Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / PCS7 / Beckhoff / Allen Bradley / WinCC)
- Experience with testing and activating complex control systems at clients and end clients
- Good command of spoken and written Dutch, and proficient in spoken and written English and/or German.
