What will your job as a Junior Piping & Equipment Engineer / Mechanical Engineer involve?
The Plant Design department performs engineering activities in multidisciplinary projects in the processing, chemical, petrochemical, water and food industries, and the energy sector. As a Junior Piping & Equipment Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, you will work on a variety of multidisciplinary projects for clients together with your team. Under the supervision of an experienced structural engineer, you will produce layout drawings, piping routes and simple steel structures. Other tasks will include drafting detailed drawings, lists of materials and simple calculations. In this varied role, you will be jointly responsible for measurement activities and the performance of the work in accordance with the drawings. As a junior employee of VIRO, you will acquire knowledge that will subsequently enable you to progress to a specialist or coordinating role.

You have good communication skills and a quality-conscious attitude, and are able to work independently as well as in a team. You have a completed higher-intermediate-level education (MBO) or higher in mechanical engineering. Further requirements:
- Affinity with Plant Design and 2D/3D design software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, SolidWorks or Inventor
- Interest in taking additional training
- Flexible attitude and willingness to perform on-site activities at clients
- Good standard of spoken and written Dutch and English, preferably with fluency in German
