What will your job as a Plant Design Team Leader involve?
The Plant Design department at the Echt site specialises in engineering multidisciplinary projects in the chemical, petrochemical, processing, water, food, energy and other sectors. As a Plant Design Team Leader, your primary responsibility is ensuring that your department performs at its best. This also involves focusing on health, safety and environment issues, quality, operational acquisition, profitability, effectiveness, human resources and staffing. Your responsibilities include maintaining relationships and executing multidisciplinary projects, as well as motivating and inspiring your team members. As a team leader, you will collaborate closely with your head of department. The latter has final responsibility and, as part of their continuous efforts to successfully manage the team, ensures all work is divided among them and the team leaders as fairly and efficiently as possible.

You have an engaging and outgoing personality, good social skills, leadership qualities, and are eager to use your creativity and expertise to solve technical issues for major clients and help them to improve their performance. You’re proactive with a flexible attitude. Further requirements:
- Degree in a technical field (from a university of technology or vocational university) plus extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Around ten years of experience in executing industrial projects
- Knowledge of industry and clients’ professional standards and regulations
- Knowledge of budgeting methods, cost monitoring, planning, and progress methods
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments, safety and government regulations, and permits
- Good command of software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and planning
- Good command of one or more CAD software packages and familiar with relevant software in your area of expertise
- Team player who also works well independently
- Strong analytical skills and a client-centric attitude
- Good standard of spoken and written Dutch, German and English
