Our client manufactures and operates attractions for theme parks all over Europe. The attraction called XXL is a large rotating pendulum of 22 meters, which has 20 seats in four gondolas at its end, each with five chairs. Our department engineering analysis generated the control calculations for this attraction according to DIN 4112 as well as a report at the TÜV standard. The calculations included a dynamic design analysis and an assessment of the welding and of all pin and bolt connections on metal fatigue. For the classification of the welding points, our department “engineering analysis” uses a self-developed, TÜV approved program. Because of this automation, we are in a position to test welding points on fatigue very quickly.
